Born in India, I grew up in a vegetarian family. My Ma, a versatile cook, introduced me to International cuisine along with Indian delicacies. Back in the '90s, she managed to even bake vegetable puff pastries on stove top oven as it's electric cousin was then a luxury in India. I had the privilege to eat healthy homemade vegetarian food, anything from sweet jams of west to savory pickles of east.
"Awesome Veggies" is my way of encouraging home cooking. I believe, just exercising your arms by dicing veggies and stirring soups can keep you healthy and your wallet wealthy! At home, you can make your dish more awesome by self picking the ingredients to cook the dish your way.
I had an opportunity to visit different places and savor respective cuisines. So, I prefer not to restrict myself to only Indian Food. As it's obvious by now, you will find only vegetarian recipes in this website with the exception of eggs, used occasionally in baking. Believe me, being Vegetarian is not settling on salads, in my world it is feasting on a hearty platter!
